James is the best safety in the draft. He’s blessed with speed, agility, and he hits hard. Cowboys are in need of a starter at strong safety, and Derwin James would be an answer to their prayers. With his ability to separate opposing players from the ball he would become an instant star in the NFL.
His presence on squads roster would make their secondary an complete and robust unit. The missing piece of the puzzle in Cowboys secondary is SS, and with James, this part of the team would be locked for the future. But, the issue here is that he will be one of the top selections in the draft. Teams will probably pick him between spots 7 and 10. So Cowboys would have to trade up far from their spot No19, and that won’t come cheap.
