As the season progressed, Smith was getting better and better. After a year in which he nursed his injuries, he had a decent outing in 2017. We are talking about an athletic linebacker that is able to do some damage on the field.
Smith is going to play alongside Sean Lee in a decent linebacker line, and he will have a chance to build on the good form that he showed towards the end of 2017. If the Cowboys have a good year, he is maybe even going to be at the Pro Bowl.
