Even though 2019 models are still a long way to go, there are some vehicles which we are anxious to see. However, we will not go into details about these cars, and we will only mention the basics. Note that we have very little information about some of the list entrants, but here are some of the most anticipated cars of 2019.
2019 Porsche 911
The next-generation Porsche 911 will look like any other Porsche 911 before that, but we expect huge changes underneath the skin and one of those changes is a new platform that is also the base of the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan. A rear plug-in hybrid powertrain is rumored, but this is not certain, whereas the engine should be combined with an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission.
2019 Ford Ranger
Ford Ranger was discontinued in the US in 2012, but it has still been sold overseas. Now it will return to the 2019 model, this body-on-frame vehicle will be assembled in the US, and it will be offered with EcoBoost engines combined with a diesel unit. The Ranger is one of the most typical American vehicles, and when Ford decided to put an end to it, everyone was disappointed. However, by the time the new version arrives in the States, the mid-size pickup truck market will be one of the busiest markets overall.
2019 Lamborghini Urus
Lamborghini will produce an SUV named Urus which will feature a twin-turbo V8 engine. It is expected to generate 650 horsepower which places the car above the mighty Huracan model. The platform used for Urus is also the base of the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga, and if you want one, you will have to pay around $200,000. It will be interesting to see an SUV rolling out of the Lamborgini factory, whereas a hybrid model will probably follow at a later date.
2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan
This Rolls Royce is an unusual and exotic SUV and the first of its kind built by the luxury brand. We know almost nothing about the Cullinan except that it will be made out of aluminum and that it will likely have a V12 powerplant under the hood. Rumor has it that this model will be heavy, but it will not be as heavy as expected, plus, there are reports that hybrid version could come.
2019 Porsche 960
Porsche knows how to produce ultimate performance cars and 2019 Porsche 960 is going to change that as it will be slotted below the 918, but above the regular lineup. The German manufacturer is probably not going to abandon the flat engine tradition here, and we cannot wait to see this model on the market. We got used to seeing more of the same (this doesn’t mean bad) from Porsche, but they are obviously willing to become more diverse in the auto world.
2019 Cadillac CT8
The CT6 is large and luxurious but obviously, not large enough, so Cadillac will introduce the new CT8 in two years time. This model will sit at the top of all luxury vehicles and will probably be the most spacious one on the entire market. Many will admire this car, but only a few will drive it because it will cost more than $80,000.
2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
The ZR1 is an iconic car and bringing it back to life can be a good but also a bad thing. Chevrolet wants to resurrect the Corvette ZR1, which will have a difficult job to meet the expectations. Once it comes out, the Corvette ZR1 will generate more than 700 ponies and give a tough time to most of the competitors.
