Seat is not famous for the SUVs, but its Ateca has been one of the best small SUVs on the market, and now, the new car called the Arona is coming. The Seat Arona got its name after a municipality on the Tenerife island, and it is based on the latest Ibiza hatchback.
2018 Seat Arona Release Date and Price
Scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017, the new model will carry the starting price of £16,555 for the 1.0-liter SE model good for 94bhp. The 2018 Seat Arona is going to compete against Peugeot 2008 which costs £16,300 as well as the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur priced at £16,880 and £15,615 respectively. In case you seek more power, the 113bhp 1.0-liter petrol unit powers the sporty FR trim, which costs £19,680, whereas, for the 1.6-liter diesel-powered Xcellence Lux, you would have to pay £24,640.
Design

Seat Arona 2018 Engines
Besides the 1.0-liter petrol units we have mentioned, there is also a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder good for 148bhp. This engine has the ability to shut down two out of four cylinders to reduce fuel consumption and emissions to the minimum. If you plan to cover a lot of terrain with the new Arona, a 1.6-liter diesel engine which delivers 94bhp or 113bhp should be your selection, but 113bhp petrol unit is probably what most people will opt for.
Seat offers a five-speed manual transmission for the 94bhp powerplants, whereas there are a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic as well. The most efficient petrol engine in the lineup is rated at 57.6 mpg, whereas we are still waiting for the official numbers for the diesel units.
Unfortunately, the 2018 Seat Arona is not a 4×4 vehicle even though it has that appearance, but we expect to see a lot of driver-assistance features. Some of the goodies included are adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, tiredness detection, blind spot monitoring and a park assist system, which is going to help you steer your car into a tight space.
The Cabin
The cabin is far from being upscale, but you will have a choice of bright colors to make it more beautiful. Also, Seat has added soft-touch plastic and a touchscreen infotainment system available in different sizes, ranging from 5.0 to 8.0 inches depending on the trim. The system is easy to use and responsive so you won’t have to take your eyes off the road too much while you are setting some functions.
Furthermore, the Arona comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink. There will be an optional Beats stereo upgrade with six premium speakers, eight-channel amplifier, and a subwoofer meaning this is an option worth acquiring. The 400-liter is the space in the trunk which should be enough for you to pack all you have planned.
