Yes, Land Rover finally came through! They revealed their latest feat that comes in the form of a facelifted Range Rover Sport, with the addition of a hybrid and a lot more powerful SVR variant. From these pictures, you will see that there is no way that you can’t recognize the vehicle in question, but there are some differences to it, and those include a new front bumper, a revised grille, and Matrix Pixel LED headlights.
As far as other changes are concerned in this facelift, you will be glad to know that Land Rover is offering their new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with two 10-inch touchscreens, and they are not stopping there. As it seems, you will also be graced with additional charging ports, and there is something called the Activity Key which will enable owners to lock and unlock their vehicle without the need to carry a key with them all the time.
In the power department, the 2018 Range Rover will be now offered with a new plug-in hybrid variant called the P400e which will boast with 2.0 L petrol engine and a 13.1 kWh lithium-ion battery which powers an electric motor. The combined output for this model will be nearly 400 HP, and it will offer up to 472 lb-ft of torque. When you put those numbers to the test you end up with a 0-60 MPH sprint that only takes 6.3 seconds, and a top speed of 137 MPH. When it comes to the battery, it will not get you far on electric power only, but 31 miles isn’t that bad, and even better news is that it can recharge in just 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The variant of 2018 Range Rover that everyone wants to hear about is the high-performance SVT. It will boast with an excellent (recently power boosted) supercharged 5.0 L V8 unit that can now offer 566 HP and can take you from 0-60 MPH in just 4.3 seconds. Now that is more like it, and that is the powerful and sportier Range Rover Sport that we wanted for a long time.

Now for the business end of the article – the price. Well, we expect the 2018 Range Rover Sport to be launched in the UK sometime early next year, and it will be priced around $81,400, while the P400e will start at nearly $94,000. The final and probably most interesting variant, the SVT will set you back a pretty penny with starting price of $132,000 before any options. Only one piece of advice here – choose carefully, very carefully!
