The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is being tested and it will come with the plethora of changes. The design itself will differ significantly from the current model. The largest revisions will include passenger compartment and the body.
In addition, the cabin will also be overhauled and more technology features will be equipped with the new model. Moreover, the new G-Class will see be 440 lbs lighter than the current version, mainly due to the new platform.

The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine will find its way to the AMG models. Furthermore, the car will not get the standard suspension Mercedes uses, but a pneumatic suspension will be installed in the new off-road car. Due to the air suspension, the height of the vehicle can be increased on rough roads, whereas on asphalt roads or highways the vehicle can be lowered. The German company decided to include OEM system for off-road driving.
Rumor has it that the G-Class may receive an independent suspension configuration, which will improve handling by a large margin. However, none of the speculations have been confirmed by the company officials yet. We believe that the modern suspension system will find its way to numerous Mercedes cars.
