22018 Mazda 6 Engine
Mazda will carry over a 2.5-liter I4 from the previous model, but the engine will be more efficient and refined. On top of that, a cylinder deactivation system will be installed, meaning that if you are going between 25 and 50 mph, two cylinders will shut off automatically. The transmission used is a six-speed manual, but a six-speed automatic is also offered.
With the 2018 Mazda 6 Signature, you will get the turbocharged 2.5-liter I4 good for 250 horsepower. A six-speed auto gearbox is mated to the engine, whereas the Dynamic Pressure Turbo design significantly reduces turbo lag or a feeling of delayed response. The automaker has also tackled with the chassis, so, the new model will be stiffer, whereas noise, vibration, and harshness are reduced by reinforcing the body and adding sound-deadening materials.
