The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be on the Assembly Line in November 2017. Jeep should end the production of their famous Cherokee at the Toledo Assembly Complex in April, according to a report from The Toledo Blade.
Bruce Baumhower, the president of the United Auto Workers Local 12, confirmed that the production will start in November and although FCA is still quiet about the exact launch date for the new Wrangler, we expect that it will happen a few weeks after the production sets off.

Jeep will probably stop with the manufacturing of the ongoing Wrangler in March, while they move the Cherokee from the Toledo Assembly Complex to the facility in Belvidere Illinois a month after that. The plant in Toledo needs to be prepared for the production of the next-generation Wrangler, and it will take about five months to set everything up.
In the meantime, it has been confirmed that the 2018 model comes based on a construction that will be made out of aluminum among other materials. Aluminum should also be used for the doors and the hood, and this is going to be the first Wrangler that comes with a body that uses the lightweight material. One of the things that are affected by this change is the performance. We expect this to be a significant step forward for the new model and entire company.
