When Jeep announced that the Grand Wagoneer will make a comeback, the excitement went through the roof. However, it looks like one of the most popular cars in Jeep’s history will become a top luxury SUV. How is that possible? We don’t know, but the starting price of the vehicle will potentially be $140,000.
Classic SUVs such as Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and of course, Range Rover will be bitter rivals to the new Grand Wagoneer. Jeep head Mike Manley expressed a desire at 2016 Paris Motor Show to revive the Grand Wagoneer as a top-shelf model.

He told Auto Express:” I don’t think there’s a maximum price ceiling per se for Jeep. If you look at the upper end of the segment in the US, for me, the Grand Wagoneer done well can compete all the way through this segment. I’ll use US dollars, but pushing the car up to $130,000 to $140,000 may be possible, but we need to establish Grand Wagoneer in its own right first. That’s why I wouldn’t say there’s a price ceiling.”
Grand Cherokee SRT costs $65,695, which makes it the most expensive car in Jeep lineup. So, we might expect many innovations and modern technologies in a new vehicle, considering that the price will reach six digits.
Grand Wagoneer will supposedly use some of the Maserati Levante parts, and if those rumors were true, then the price tag shouldn’t be a surprise. The new vehicle is expected to come out next year, so follow us for more details.
