GMC today thankfully announced prices for their 2018 Terrain, and according to this report, it will range from $25,970 to more than $40,200 depending on what you add to your vehicle. The sales will start this summer, and most of us just can’t wait.
At the launch, the only engine option you will have is the 2.0 L turbo unit producing 252 HP, but slightly later GMC will add 1.5 L turbo making 170 HP, as well as a 1.6 L turbodiesel with 137 HP to the engine lineup so you can have your pick. The two petrol units will be tied to the nine-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel unit will have to make do with a six-speed one.
GMC will bring the 2018 Terrain in SL, SLE, SLT, and Denali. The base SL trim will be priced at $25,970 and will only offer FWD while the SLE version is going to be available for $28,795 with FWD and $30,545 with AWD option. The SLT trim will be slightly better equipped with heated front seats and an upgraded 8-inch infotainment screen and will start at $32,295 with FWD setup and $34,045 with the all-wheel drive system. If you decide to go with the diesel option, you will have to pay additional $3,770 to the price of the SLE and $2,845 to the price of the SLT.
The last but not least is the Denali trim, and it will offer you upgraded 2.0 L engine with some other goodies like navigation, hands-free power liftgate, and a heated steering wheel. But this will not come cheap, the top of the line version will cost you $38,495 with FWD setup and $40,245 if you opt for all-wheel drive configuration. As you already know, the GMC Terrain is very closely tied to the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox which is already on sale, and it starts at just $24,475.
