The video that was posted on Instagram clearly shows the new 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon in Detroit. It seems that the one spotted has the same characteristics as the one that was revealed in the Fast 8 video.
The driver behind the wheel of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon appeared to slow down as soon as he spotted that he was being filmed. The first spy shots were taken last year when we had a chance to see the wide-body prototypes for the first time and back then, the ADR name was still a possibility.
Since then, we have expected to see a car like this, with a 6.2-liter supercharged powerplant that produces a lot of horsepower and some small tweaks that will show how serious this muscle car is. Speaking of the engine, the HEMI unit received a specific ECU map for race gas, but many tuned Hellcats go through the aftermarket treatment.
Dodge still only shows teaser photos of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. At this point, the only solid information we have received is that the new Demon will be lighter than the previous model by 200 pounds. This muscle car has been confirmed, and it will be introduced at the New York Auto Show in April 2017. However, the early release is not excluded, so don’t be so surprised if you see the Demon launched before April.
