Fast 8 promotional video has perhaps leaked the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon, which should not be presented just yet. You can see the video here in which Vin Diesel is thankful to the crew of Fast 8 movie and while he is speaking, the Dodge Challenger Demon is simply sitting in the background, and we can clearly see what it looks like.
The first thing that gave it away is the Demon badge positioned on the front fender of a new car, whereas the wide hood scoop is the same as the one on the ongoing Hellcat model. However, the scoop is also similar to the hood design which we had a chance to see in the teaser for the Dodge Demon. Fender flares and new five-spoke wheels can be clearly seen on what it appears to be the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon.
We found out that the new vehicle will be equipped with an engine that will produce more than 707 horsepower coming from the Challenger Hellcat and the Demon should be the “new ultimate performance halo” of the lineup. According to the carmaker, the new model will be 200 pounds lighter, and this has been done by adding new suspension, new brakes, wheels and also different but lighter elements in the cabin.
If that is a Demon in the Fast 8 video, it is not good news for Dodge, because they planned to introduce this car later in the year. We expect to see more teaser photos and videos before April when the new 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon will be unveiled at the 2017 New York Auto Show. Take a look at this video and see if that is the Demon indeed? Or could it be some other model?
