The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse in this edition has a lot more truck-like body but it doesn’t have that extra hassle that comes with it like additional weight and stuff. It now has a new lightweight platform, and updated engines and trim levels. The company decided to start the pricing at $30.875 and it was announced a few days ago.
The price that is set puts the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse in between the 2018 Buick Enclave that starts at around $40.000 and the smaller 2018 GMC Acadia which begins at $29.995. At this listed starting price the 2018 Traverse will offer a lot, and it starts with keyless entry and push-button start, an infotainment system with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic tri-zone climate control, and USB charging in all three rows.
The LS trim will up the ante a little with deep tinted glass and available all-weather floor mats and it will cost $32.995 while the LT trim will offer you fog lamps, roof rails, body-color mirror caps, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for meere $35.495. The list doesn’t start there because there is LT Leather trim that adds interior leather package, upgraded 20-inch aluminum wheels, side blind zone alert with rear cross traffic alert, surround vision with bird’s-eye view, and rear park assist with audible warning, and it can be yours for $42.095.
For those who don’t think that this is enough there are two more higher end trims – the Premier trim model that offers a dual-outlet exhaust, wireless device charging, LED D-Optic bi-function projector-beam headlamps, body-color moldings with chrome inserts, and outside heated power-adjustable body-color mirrors with turn signal indicators and auto dimming for a price of $45.395 and a High Country which is top trim level that offers a unique interior trim with Loft Brown leather and suede accents, unique badging, heavy-duty cooling system and trailer hitch, and standard twin-clutch all-wheel drive for a price of $52.995. Not all trim levels get the all wheel drive, it is reserved as standard only for the High Country while it is available as an option on the LS, LT/Leather, and Premier trim levels.
As far as the engine options go, the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse comes with a 3.6 L V6 that is capable of making 310 HP and 266 lb-ft of torque but there is also an RS model that packs a 2.0 L turbo-four with 255 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque that is ready to roll out.
