The Buick Enclave was introduced ten years ago for the first time, and even though it has been with us for an extended period, it is still looking very good. General Motors cannot simply muck up this car, and it will be fun to watch what the company prepared for the redesigned version.
2018 Enclave Price
Luckily for us, the modified 2018 Enclave has been officially confirmed, and it will be presented at the 2017 New York Motor Show next month. It is expected to hit the market next year as a 2018 model, while the starting price should remain pretty much the same as the price of the ongoing model which can be found for $40,000.
Although the new Enclave is going to be redesigned, it will come with the same conservative styling, but at the same time, it is going to be sportier and lighter than the current model. Waterfall grille, portholes, and pontoon fenders are signature Buick parts, and they will, of course, be implemented into the new car. In the teaser photo, you can see the headlight design and one part of the grille.
The platform that was used for the redesigned Chevrolet Traverse, which was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, will also be utilized on the new Buick Enclave. It is a stretched version of GM’s C1XX architecture which is also the base for the Cadillac XT5 and GMC Acadia but in its regular variant.
The new modified Enclave will come with the same 3.6-liter V6 unit that will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission which will send power to the front wheels. The American carmaker will also offer an AWD configuration, while a turbocharged inline-4 is a possibility, but this has yet to be confirmed.
2018 Buick Enclave Release Date
The exact date we will be able to see the new 2018 Buick Enclave is April 11, which is one day before the opening press day in New York. At Big Apple, Buick will also bring an upmarket variant of the modified Enclave, which will be improved by the Avenir sub-brand. Buick already has a GL8 Avenir in the Chinese market, but this will be the first Avenir model that will go on sale in the US.
