At the end of the last year, so many photos leaked on which we could saw the upcoming BMW F90 M5, but none of these images showed the completely accurate look of the vehicle. However, these pictures help us to determine what the new 2018 BMW M5 will look like.
In one of the new pictures, the rear end of the vehicle is shown for the first time, and this kind of design might actually be the one intended for production. On the other hand, there are some M5 GST rendering we had a chance to see in 2016, but the rear styling on those was only hypothetical.
Bimmerpost is in charge of the new renderings, and we can notice that the M5 in the photos looks much more aggressive than the F10 version. What we really like is the new carbon fiber roof, while the vehicle’s sporty design is perfect for those M mirrors.
The new 2018 BMW M5 will come with redesigned front and rear bumper, kidney grille inserts, wider sills and the signature quad tailpipes. In addition, it will also feature front wings which will be wider and will have chromed vent elements while at the back there will be a more pronounced rear diffuser.
Under the hood, we expect to see a 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 unit that will produce more than 600 horses, while the new model will go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, according to the rumors. The 2018 M5 will be the first AWD vehicle with M brand offered by the German manufacturer that is not SUV.
There are also renderings of M5 Touring model, but BMW is not interested in its production. This rendering was made by Bimmerpost’s Paul Bracq BMW, and you can see the photo here. We expect to see the 2018 BMW M5 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
