On the company’s website, Toyota has officially published the pricing details and trims for the new 2017 Yaris. The Yaris has just gone through its second facelift and it received new headlights, front grille, front and rear bumpers, while the taillights have been redesigned and they now stretch into the new tailgate. The Yaris with a 1.5-liter engine that produces 82 kW and 136 Nm of torque will be offered in Europe, but this version will not reach the cost of Australia.
Toyota Yaris Ascent
The Ascent is the entry trim and its starting price is $15,290 if you want the version with the five-speed manual transmission, or $16,820 if you prefer the four-speed automatic. The Yaris Ascent is powered by a 1.3-liter I4 petrol unit that produces 63 kW and 120 Nm.
Among standard equipment, you can find cloth seats, 60/40 split-fold rear seats, electric power steering and front disc brakes. In addition, there are seven airbags and a spare tire, whereas the car sits on the 15-inch steel wheels wrapped in 175/65 rubber. There is also a 6.1-inch infotainment system, Bluetooth phone connectivity and controls on the steering wheel spokes, while you can listen to the relaxing music coming from a six-speaker sound system.
When it comes to the safety features, there is the Toyota Safety Sense package that brings lane departure warning and automatic high-beam operation, while you can add a pre-collision safety system, which is available as an option.
SX
In the middle sits the 2017 Toyota Yaris SX which is also available with either the five-speed manual or the four-speed automatic with the prices for these two variants starting at $17,330 and $18,860 respectively. Under its hood are a larger 1.5-liter I4 petrol unit good for 80 kW and 141 Nm of torque, where this trim will be equipped with the same 15-inch wheels. Front fog lights and a three-spoke steering wheel is what you get at this level.
ZR
The range-topping model is called the ZR and it only comes with a four-speed automatic gearbox. Standard technologies of this version are 15-inch alloy wheels, satellite navigation, sports front seats, climate control air conditioning, bi-LED headlights and the Toyota Safety Sense package. The 2017 Toyota Yaris ZR would set you back $22,470.
