The 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon has been talked about for some time, but somehow the information regarding its pricing remained allusive every time it was mentioned. Well, not anymore!
2017 Dodge Power Wagon Price
Dodge finally released the pricing for the Power Wagon and let me tell you it isn’t cheap with a price tag that starts at $53,015. What remains on the plus side of it is the bulk of hardware and appearance upgrades available to you as well as a possibility to get the same capability at a discounted price if you don’t need all features that Power Wagon brings.

Every model sold still comes with a plenty of off-road features, including Bilstein shocks, 33-inch tires, locking front and rear differentials, electronically disconnecting sway bars, chassis armor, a 12,000-pound Warn winch as well as the Ram 2500’s 410-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8. This is awesome “starting” equipment, but Dodge decided to go a step further and on top of all this offer a much more aggressive exterior which is aided by the Ram Rebel-style black front grille and trim. The black trim ends with a retro Power Wagon stripe located behind the rear doors which are seen on the 70’s Power Wagons as well as the recent Macho Power Wagon SEMA concept.
The interior of the 2017 Power Wagon on the first look will wow you with seats that have embossed tire tread patterns inspired by the Ram Rebel, but the buyers that demand something sophisticated and luxurious can opt for Leather and Luxury package that needs additional $4,495. That package offers satellite radio, UConnect, heated leather seats and steering wheel and voice control, among other things. But this Leather and Luxury package will also bring something else to the table, and that is the complete phase out of the fancy $59,465 Laramie Power Wagon trim, which is excellent news.
Now for that discount deal, I was previously mentioning. If you do not need the extra style that Power Wagon carries than you can do the following – order a Ram 2500 Tradesman in crew cab, four-wheel-drive configuration after which you choose the $8,450 Power Wagon package. Since the Tradesman price is $39,865, which is way lower than $53,015, even with the $8,450 Power Wagon package, you save a little over $6,000 which is not that negligible.
What is the downside of all this is that you do not get the fancy interior or the Rebel-style exterior features, but what is more important is that all of the significant mechanical bits are the same and present on your vehicle. This way regardless of whether the style or the savings are important to you, there is a Power Wagon for everybody.
