Porsche decided to add a new vehicle to the 2017 Macan range. What is important for the new vehicle is that it will be much cheaper than other models currently available.
The new option will be equipped with a 2.0-liter I4 petrol engine that delivers 185 kW and 370 Nm of torque. This unit is combined with a seven-speed dual clutch PDK gearbox. If you opt for this one, know that it comes only with an AWD and that it consumes 7.4-liters per 100 km (32 mpg).
According to the test results, the 2017 Porsche Macan needs 6.7 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph. This is not the fastest car in the range, but the performances can be upgraded with the Sport Chrono Package. If you add this feature, the car’s acceleration improves by 0.2 seconds. The top speed of the new vehicle is 229 km/h (142 mph).
Porsche claims that “exceptionally sporty driving dynamics” is still offered with the new engine. This new 2017 Porsche Macan will be a base trim, and the customers will have a chance to choose the one with air suspension and adaptive dampers. The complete weight of the vehicle is 1770 kg (3,902 pounds) making it the lightest SUV from this manufacturer.
This new model will be different from the rest in terms of equipment. Firstly, black window trim strips and black brake calipers will be added to the base Macan. Secondly, there are front and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera, electric driver’s seat adjustment with memory settings and three-zone climate control. In addition to that, bi-xenon headlights, lane departure warning and Alcantara seat trim inserts are included as some of the standard features.
The 2017 Porsche Macan will feature 19-inch alloy wheels, digital radio reception, and a touchscreen media system. Satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming with voice control will be a part of the system mentioned above. Apple CarPlay is only offered as an option, and you would have to pay extra $1,090 for it.

The starting price of the new 2017 Porsche Macan is $76,610. The petrol Macan S costs $92,800 whereas the diesel-powered model is $945 cheaper. The upper trim is called Macan GTS, and you would have to cough up $109,200 whereas the range-topping Turbo starts at $130,000.
