Nissan decided to give us two photos of the new Nissan Micra supermini, ahead of the Paris Motor Show. On them, we can clearly see the headlights and the rear. They revealed the pictures only two days before the car presentation.

On the rear picture, they wrote “a revolution is coming” and that can mean only one thing. The new 2017 Nissan Micra will have a completely overhauled design. It is expected that the stance will be sportier, whereas the front sharp giving the car a new modern look.

The Sway concept was presented last year at the Geneva Motor show and the finished version will look much alike.

The 2017 Micra will contain a well-known V-shaped grille, but it will have smooth headlights. In addition, angular air vents will be inserted in the bumper and the car will be longer, wider and lower that the existing model. Moreover, the new sportier look is expected because of the sharper nose and stinging creases down the side.

As it can be seen on the spy shots, the roofline will also be smoother and the tailgate will be similar to the ones on the Sway concept. The taillights will be upscale, just like the roof spoiler.

Although the current Micra is sold all around the globe, the new one will focus mainly on Europe.

The vehicle will use the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B small car platform. Moreover, the buyers will be able to find it in the variety of colors and interior trims, but it may also be offered with some MINI-style customization options.

In order to beat the competition such as VW Polo and Kia Rio which also arrive in 2017, the interior will contain a lot of innovations and upgrades. Top-trim will probably come with the leather seats, while the soft-touch materials will be used in other trims. The supermini will come with the new infotainment system to help beat the rivals.

Furthermore, the car will be equipped with the numerous safety features such as the autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot monitoring.
