According to official reports from Japanese car maker the 2017 Mazda 6, with included $835 destination charge, will start from $22,780. Comparing it to previous year model it is a boost of $450 which is acceptable since we will be getting few upgrades offered with this mid-size sedan.
One thing that we wanted to see changed, or at least more options offered, is the engine lineup.
Just like before 2.5-liter four cylinder unit will remain the only option and even it does provide good fuel economy and decent performances with its 184 hp we want to see more in this segment.
Let’s take a look at features list that the base trim will bring. Standard 17-inch alloys and a rearview camera are coming to play. The six-speed manual transmission is offered, and if you want to jump to six-speed auto, you will need to add $1,050 on Sport and Touring models while it is standard on Grand Touring version.

There are three trim levels just like before and as we said base Sport model costs $22,780. The Touring and Grand Touring trims start from $25,030 and $31,530 respectively. Fully loaded Grand Touring model with added Premium Package and new Machine Gray Metallic paint will come with price tag of $34,330 which is below luxury models price in this segment but is comparable when it comes to features. Great value for money.
Let’s get back to options that are offered and prices of 2017 Mazda 6. Touring trim can be equipped with either Bose sound system and a moonroof, and it will set you back for $1,325 while the second, priced at $1,425 will add heated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirrors and LED technology for adaptive main light units.
Grand Touring trim can be had with Premium Package that costs additional $2,500 and adds Nappa leather seats. Furthermore, you are getting a piece of Formula 1 technology with an i-eLoop regenerative braking system that will slightly reduce fuel consumption but do not expect it to achieve miracles.
