The refreshed 2017 Kia Soul has been released and the company has cut down its price in an effort to boost the sales above the currently 65 units sold before the end of September of this year.
The new price at which the company is offering this crossover is now set to $24,990 driveaway which is significantly reduced when you compare it to the previous price that was at $26,990 and that is without additional on-road costs. The savings you make now are not to be taken lightly because they add up to around $6,000.
This is a great news for all of you who are set to buy one of these. If you recall, or if you have read it, we recently wrote an article on the topic of the refreshed Kia Soul, but just to refresh your memory we will repeat some of it here. To bring its new Soul in line with other car makers, Kia made a number of exterior design improvements including a new grille, bumper, air intakes, fog lamps and wheels which are supposed to make that happen.
The outside update just wasn’t going to cut it, and that is why Kia decided to redo the interior as well adding refreshed center console together with gauge clusters, cloth door trim, seat covers. Furthermore, now it features a 5-inch screen and drive select modes. Engine department remained untouched, and it is still powered by 113kW/191Nm 2.0 L four-cylinder petrol engine that is attached to a six-speed automatic transmission.
To impact the price reduction even more they also lowered the cost of paint options. Now a single tone metallic paint costs around $520 while two-tone models, with contrast roof and body colors, cost $390 for non-metallic red and white and $910 for metallic red and black paintwork.
