2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid prices have been released.
The new hybrid model from Hyundai, Sonata Plug-in, comes with a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. That is actually 5 times bigger than what we have in the Sonata Hybrid. It also has a 2.0 l engine with four cylinders that is paired to an electric motor. The whole system outputs 202 HP in total.
As for the United States, the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid will cost you at least $35,435 including destination, which is the starting price. For this amount of money, you will be getting a sedan with 27 miles of all-electric range. Most of those people that decide to buy it will be completely able to finish their commute of the day using only the electricity. Estimated distance between the fill ups is around 600 miles.
When using the EV mode the Hyundai will deliver around 100 MPGe, but it will return approximately 40 mpg while in hybrid mode. Less than three hours is the predicted charging time if using the 240-volt Level Two charger. On the other hand, usage of the standard 120-volt outlet will take more time, around 9 hours meaning that you will mostly recharge your battery during the night.
As for the exterior, new colors will be available for the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid. Some of the color options provided are Hyper White, Skyline Blue, Metropolis Gray or Nocturne Black. There are also some choices to be made when it comes to interior. Gray color could be used for both cloth and leather, while there is the Blue Pearl option for the leather seats as well. This option includes contrast stitching and trim accent pieces. We can agree that with few options for the interior you can get quite comfortable and decently equipped vehicle.
There is also the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid Limited version that costs $39,435 and that comes with the Blue Pearl leather as standard.
As for the Canada, prices haven’t been released so far but we do not expect major differences.
