Exterior
We can see some design changes on the new car. First of all, the upper grille is new, whereas the bumper will have a different shape than the one on the previous model. Secondly, the headlights are also overhauled and they will be bordered by the wing-shaped LEDs. Furthermore, the air dam grille will be bigger.
The sides of the car will pretty much remain the same, but the car will have a sportier look due to the redesigned quarter glass. The largest changes are on the rear end. The car will feature dual exhaust and redesigned spoiler. Moreover, the new CR-V comes with a new tailgate with a chrome decoration in full width, whereas the taillights will have the L shape.
Interior and Features
The interior is also renovated significantly. There are changes regarding the design and technology, but the most prominent change is the use of luxurious materials in the whole cabin. Furthermore, the seats will have more intricate stitches, whereas the modern soft-touch instrument panel is added.
The car features a 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio infotainment system with Android OS and smartphone integration compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, if you opt for this vehicle you will get a color TFT driver information display and a physical volume knob. Another feature worth mentioning is the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System. This system is manufactured by co-operation between the Japanese carmaker and Garmin.
Some of the convenience and comfort features are rear USB charging port, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and heated door mirrors. Among other features, you can find remote engine start, 4-way adjustable lumbar support, and dual-zone climate control. Moreover, a heating function for the front seats and electric parking brake are included in the package.
Engine
A 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated V4 petrol engine is located under the hood of the 2017 CR-V. The unit delivers 184 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. The other option is a 1.5-liter turbocharged V4 petrol unit rated at 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. The CVT transmission is standard for both options.
