Disadvantages

The second disadvantage is that the rivals offer more fuel-saving options. For example, if you opt for the Ford, you can get a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine. According to the EPA estimates, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is rated at 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. In this aspect, the Silverado simply must do better in the future. In addition, features such as adaptive cruise control and engine start/stop system are not offered so this could be the way for Chevy to slightly improve the situation with few upgrades.
The interior is simple and spacious, but the seats are not too comfortable for longer rides. Some would also say that the interior is plain and the materials are not of high quality, and we can agree to some extent with that claim but have in mind that this is a truck, a work truck.
