When it comes to taste and beauty, there can be no disputes, but I believe that we can all agree that best part of any auto show is the supercar showing. It is understandable that there is so much more than this on any auto-show and same goes for 2016 Paris Motor Show, but there is a certain spell in looking at cars that you could probably never afford or at least most of us can’t.
Let us take a look at some of those exotics that first saw the light of the day at Paris Motor Show
The main stage was occupied by French carmakers and first among equals was Citroen. They have presented their CXperience hybrid concept. It offers power in a region from 250 to 300 hp, and 37 miles of electric range after which hybrid can take over. The car was constructed under Citroen’s motto ‘Be different, feel good’ and it features clean design lines and premium materials both on the inside and the outside.
Second in line is also a French automaker giant, Renault. They presented pretty unbelievable electric concept car named Trezor. This car is powered by 350 horsepower electric motor and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. This doesn’t come as a surprise because Trezor is a two-seat, one-door GT Concept build entirely like the concepts from past times meant to be gorgeous and wild.
Moving on and we get to the familiar German brand the Mercedes. What Benz brought to us is nothing less but stunning Maybach-Vision 6 Concept. Known to the general public from earlier this concept represents a two-gull-wing door luxury car which is being powered by four electric motors. Under the floor of this concept lies an 80-kilowatt battery that supplies 738 hp motors. Top speed is limited and rated to 155mph and it also reaches 0-60 in less than four seconds.
The first model that represented Italy on this list is Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce. This model doesn’t have performances of previous three mentioned, but it is offered at a far more affordable price tag and at least has a price tag. It comes with two engine options; one being 2.0-litre Turbo Petrol unit with 280 hp and other a 2.2-litre diesel pumping our 210 hp. For all of us across the ocean, it is unfortunate to know that this car won’t be sold in the United States.
Back to the Germany and we have a Porsche Panamera Hybrid for 2018 MY which has a fully electric range of 31 miles. It offers astonishing 462 hp and can accelerate from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. Top speed, when driven with electric part of the system, is rated at 87mph. On the petrol side, it offers a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and when both parts of the system are used it can reach top-speed of 172mph.
Yet another model from Mercedes was presented at 2016 Paris Motor Show, and it was also familiar from before. The model in question is AMG GT-R that has an engine with 577hp, top speed of 198mph and it can reach 0-60 in mesmerizing 3.5 seconds.
Back to Italy and we have Ferrari’s GTC4 Lusso T. This model is equipped with a 680 horsepower engine and can reach top-speed of 208mph. It accelerates from 0-60 is 3.4 seconds something that we are used to seeing in Ferrari.
Top of the list is also a Ferrari and it’s no more or no less a drop-top Aperta. This model comes as a limited edition so only a few selected people will have the opportunity to enjoy it. With only 209 models made you shouldn’t even think of buying one because all of 209 were sold before hitting the showroom. LaFerrari Aperta will boast a jaw-dropping 949 horsepower hybrid powertrain with a top speed of 217 mph.
