The new Ferrari F80 Concept is really state-of-the-art and the question arises whether Ferrari will be able to top this. However, they wasted no time and we already know a lot of details about the new vehicle. Recently, the manufacturers of sports cars gravitate towards the production of stylish, but so powerful automobiles. So far, Bugatti Veyron has been the most powerful and fastest car in the world. The engineers from Ferrari hope that they can top this with their new model.
A Concept car
Ferrari F80 has already drawn a lot of attention to the sports car fans and critics. They both agree that this car looks terrific. It is possible that this model will replace the renowned LaFerrari and if that happens, Ferrari F80 must not disappoint. This concept car was referred to before and the hybrid KERS system will be partnered with the Ferrari’s famous craftsmanship. The plan is to produce a car that will be fashionable and produce 1,200 horsepower at the same time.
Classic Look
The designer of the F80 Concept is a man who also created LaFerrari and Enzo – Adriano Raeli. This new vehicle will resemble the aforementioned two models in many design cues. However the most pronounced similarity is long, threatening rear and a sharp front.
A V12 engine that is located in the LaFerrari will not be used. Instead of that, Ferrari opted for a hybrid twin-turbo V8 accompanied by KERS technology. Although the engine is smaller, according to the company engineers, it will produce more power.
A top-notch car
After the application of the KERS technology, the horsepower will make a leap from 900 to 1,200. If they manage to pull this off, Ferrari F80, once it is the factories, will be able to reach 62 mph in 2.2 seconds and develop the top speed of 310 mph (499km/h). With this performance, the F80 will be a serious competitor to the Koenigsegg One which is supposed to develop a top speed of 440 km/h.
