The second-generation Toyota Soarer arrived in 1986, and it boasted the full-color CRT screen which would turn into a TV when you stopped the car. This display is known as “Electro Multi-Version,” and as a driver, you had a chance to select different models. In other words, there were several info screens, so we can say that you could “customize” the display according to your liking. Perhaps “choose” is the more accurate word. Nevertheless, this was cutting-edge tech back then.
