Once you taste them, you will not stop eating until you clean up the plate
INGREDIENTS
24 chicken wings with skin, rinsed and patted dry (approx 3 pounds)
Chipotle Chicken Rub
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Honey Lime Hot Sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons lime juice whisked with 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 – 1 1/2 teaspoons Frank’s hot WINGS Sauce – not Frank’s original
1 tablespoon butter
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the oven to 400F degrees. Place a baking sheet and then put the baking rack on top of it. Spray everything with nonstick cooking spray.
Put the Rub Ingredients into a bowl for mixing. After you have placed the half of the Rub into a big freezer bag, place half of the wings and jumble it up until it’s covered equally. Put the wings on the baking rack and leave some space between them. Place the other half of Rub ingredients and wings to the bag and do the process again.
Use upper middle rack for baking and set it at 400 F degrees. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Then place the oven rack at about 6-8″ from broiler and set the oven to Broil. Leave it to broil until you see they’re crisp enough.
When you remove the wing from the oven, leave them to cool while you melt butter in a saucepan. Pour what’s left of Honey Lime Hot Sauce ingredients and put it in to boil, as you stir now and then. Lower the temperature to simmer, and leave it for about 1 minute. After the dish has been prepared, taste it to see if you need some more hot sauce or honey, depending on whether you like it spicy or sweet. Enjoy your cooked chicken.
