Spider-Man franchise will get numerous spinoffs in the future and Venom is just the first one. The fans had a chance to see this character in Spider-Man 3, but this will be a standalone film with Venom as the main character. Spinoffs weren’t planned when the franchise became The Amazing Spider-Man, but now, it has been rebooted again to join the Marvel CU, Sony will create a series of films with the spotlight on some other characters besides Spider-Man. Tom Hardy got the lead.
