3Cannon’s Spider-Man

In 1985, Cannon Films bought the rights to make Spider-Man’s first movie. Scott Leva and Tom Cruise were considered for the role with Leva already portraying the character on comic book covers. The film would depict Spider-Man against Doctor Octopus who could have been played by Bob Hoskins. This movie was promoted even though Cannon Films had budgetary and creative issues and the teaser was later on released. However, Cannon’s major financial issues prevented it from delivering the film.
