Top Gun with Tom Cruise as Maverick was fantastic and it didn’t take long for this film to become one of the classics. The sequel was supposed to be made in the last decade, but the plans changed when the original Top Gun director committed suicide five years ago. Even though this was devastating news to hear, the idea of making the new version lived and the film will be called Top Gun: Maverick, whereas the premiere, is scheduled for 2019.
