Research conducted by Appalachian State University included several well-trained athletes that were given 9 ounces of blueberries every day for six weeks and additional 13 ounces that were taken one hour prior to a two-and-a-half-hour run. Not only that the inflammation level was lower, but also the number of natural killer cells increased. These are important blood cell that positively influences your immunity.
