33. The Original Scr*wjob
Although Wendi Richter was the former WWF Women’s Champion and the star of the first WrestleMania ever, she has been forgotten over the years despite her massive contribution to pro wrestling. She got induced in WWE Hall of Fame in 2010, but the way she left the organization in 1995 will never be forgotten.
This woman was hired on a contract with a minimal downside payment, and she got co-main event status at WrestleMania. Richter was supposed to regain the title from Leilani Kai that night. Her name was huge indeed, but she earned significantly less money than the other wrestlers and some non-wrestlers such as Mr. T. Moreover, Richter never got anything for the merchandise. At that point, she was asking for her share.
After that, Wendi faced The Spider at Madison Square Garden, but there was something fishy when he saw her old mentor, the Fabulous Moolah backstage. As the time passed by, Richter unmasked The Spider, who turned out to be no other than Moolah. That was the last straw as Richter walked out of the arena.
