Businessman and wrestling promoter from the north-east Herbert Christian Abrams formed Universal Wrestling Federation in California in 1990 which was meant to return wrestling to its roots. He made some excellent television deals and he intended to challenge the primacy of Vince McMahon’s WWF and WCW.
