The Tacoma brings toughness to the table and amazing off-road capabilities. Despite that, it is still a primitive truck, the ride is stiff and the handling critical. You will not feel comfortable in the cabin due to the awkward driving position and engine, road and wind noise. Not everything is bad, though and you can find modern connectivity features as well as safety goodies such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. However, it is not enough to beat all the negatives, and there are better pickups to choose from.
