Even though Lee was an impressive athlete and a student as well, he was often overlooked. He had a 3.78 GPA and scored 1110 on the SAT, but he was only a three-star prospect coming out of high school. Many of the Big Ten’s biggest programs such as Michigan and Ohio State didn’t pay attention to Lee, but he did receive offers from Iowa, Northwestern and Penn State and accepted to play for the Nittany Lions.
