7Safety First
Lee is now a force to be reckoned with, but he wasn’t always that big. In high school, Lee was playing at the safety position, and he weighed just over 200 pounds. He recorded 95 tackles and four interceptions as a senior at Upper St. Clair high school. Moreover, he had 21 TD on 187 carries as a running back and 1,240 yards.
This year with the Cowboys, he recorded 145 tackles, one pass deflection, and a fumble recovery, and although he wasn’t named the Pro Bowler, he was recognized as one of five All-Pro Cowboys during the wildcard weekend. “It’s an unbelievable honor because there’s so many great players and so many great linebackers who play this game,” Lee said. “I’m kind of champing at the bit to get this going and get ready. I’m just blessed to be healthy, excited to be on this team and have this opportunity. This is something I’ve always wanted to be part of.”
