Usually, WWE signs the wrestlers, but they go through independent training and branches of the company before and if they ever get to the main stage. For example, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan spent years developing their skills, but that wasn’t the case with Roman Reigns. Shortly after he retired from football, Reigns signed a developmental contract with WWE when he was transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling. At his first fight, he went under the name of Roman Leakee.
