55. How Many Muscles do we have?
Source:humananatomywiki.com
We know our body well, and yet, we don’t know how many muscles are in our bodies. There are 206 bones, 78 organs, and about 700 skeletal muscles, but the exact number is unknown. It is believed that there are between 640 and 850 muscles. Why can’t we count them? Some of the muscles are too complex, and they can be thought of as two separate muscles. This depends on how you look at these complex muscles and that is why we are getting different answers from experts. Even if they had agreed to separate these muscles or look them as one, people are unique, and someone wouldn’t fit the norm.
