22. Why do Placebo pills work?
The human mind is incredible, and we have yet to discover all the processes that happen in our brains. Ever since people invented medicine, they believed that it worked even when you give them placebo pills filled with sugar. After taking it for several days, those people felt better, but the fact is that medicine wasn’t the one improving their condition. So why do placebo pills work?
Placebo pills which are red work better than those which are white. Moreover, the ones we receive from doctors are better than the ones prescribed by the assistants. We know that it has something to do with our brain, but is it possible that our brain is so powerful? But the weird thing is that placebos worked on people who knew that they were just taking the sugar pills…Could somebody please explain this?
